There are just a few weeks left to register your interest in getting involved in our Armed Forces Day National Event, which will be held in Aldershot and Farnborough on 27 and 28 June.

Whether you are a performer, a veteran, a business, or a charity, or you would simply like to volunteer to help, you have until Tuesday 7 April to fill in the form on our website to join us and get involved.

We are looking for lots of people to take part, run a stall, provide entertainment or volunteer at this prestigious national event, which will honour the history of Aldershot and Farnborough, the role of the Armed Forces today and look to the future of our military.

A tribute to our Armed Forces, past, present and future is planned for Saturday 27 June, including displays, a funfair, entertainment and stalls, while a community day is planned for Sunday 28 June, with activities, sport competitions and entertainment.

The events will celebrate over 170 years of military heritage through displays, museum activities, and ceremonial traditions.

Connecting visitors with Aldershot and Farnborough’s military past - Aldershot as the traditional home of the British Army and Farnborough as the birthplace of British military aviation.

There are more details to follow, but here’s a flavour of what to expect:

Saturday 27 June
A formal day featuring a military parade along Queens Avenue
Arena displays, including from current service personnel
Music and entertainment
Food area and a funfair
The focus of the day will be on recognising all those with interaction to the services - from cadets to veterans.

Sunday 28 June
A more relaxed, community-focused day with:

Sports taster sessions
Competitions
Community activities
Entertainment, stalls, food, and a funfair
