Once Upon a Time - Illuminated trail winding: West Green House, Hook

• Events Home

There is plenty to look forward to at West Green House this Christmas, so now is the time to start filling those December diaries.

From 28 November until 30 December, the gardens open after dark for Once Upon a Time, our illuminated trail winding through the lakes, garden paths and follies. Expect beautiful lights, much-loved storybook references and plenty of seasonal treats along the way, from hot chocolate and mulled wine to Christmas waffles and warming winter food.

🐑 Meet the Animals — All Dressed for Christmas
On selected weekends, our animal visitors will be joining the celebrations too, giving younger visitors the chance to meet and pet them with their handlers.
28 & 29 November
5 & 6 December
12 & 13 December

🌿 Christmas Wreath Workshops
Join us in the Greenhouse to create a traditional Christmas wreath using evergreens and seasonal materials from the West Green House gardens. Several workshop dates are available from late November and throughout December.

🍰 VIP Christmas Preview & Afternoon Tea
On 3, 4 & 5 December, enjoy a traditional Christmas afternoon tea before heading into the gardens as darkness falls for the illuminated trail.

🎶 The West Green House Christmas Choir
Our Christmas Choir returns to bring seasonal music to West Green House, adding another very special part to an evening in the gardens.

There will also be Christmas shopping, seasonal treats in the Tea Room and Brocante de Noël on 3 December, bringing festive finds, antiques, textiles and decorative pieces to the Greenhouse.

Whether you come for wreath making, afternoon tea, the animals or an evening beneath the lights, there are plenty of reasons to make West Green House part of your Christmas plans this year.

Save the dates, gather your favourite people and start planning your Christmas visit.
Tickets for our Christmas events are available to book now via the West Green House website.
